Snorfiets navigation — cycle path and carriageway per zone

Snorfiets navigation that knows when you belong on the cycle path — and when the carriageway is mandatory. Amsterdam A10 and Utrecht city centre built in automatically.

Blue plate: two worlds in one country

Outside major cities a snorfiets rides the cycle path when available. In Amsterdam (inside A10) and parts of Utrecht the carriageway is mandatory — bike mode in Google Maps then gives you a route with €95 fine risk.

Snorfiets navigation must know those zones without you drawing polygons. Scootmaps switches automatically between cycle network and carriageway.

G11 and G12a for snorfiets

On G11 paths (mandatory cycle path) snorfiets may ride. On G12a paths too. On a plain cycle path without a sign you are legal; on the carriageway in Amsterdam you are as well — the app must understand the difference.

Scootmaps uses OpenStreetMap access tags and NDW traffic signs to validate your route. You get warnings when a segment is uncertain.

Built for Amsterdam snorfiets riders

Commuting from Noord to Centrum? Scootmaps includes IJ ferries (F2/F3) when they save time. Riding east to west? Rijbaan zones apply automatically.

Test your regular route once in snorfiets mode — you will see immediately if your current app puts you on the wrong surface.

Free scooter navigation — no download required.
