Plan a scooter route in the Netherlands
A scooter route is more than the shortest line on the map. Scootmaps calculates a legal route for blue or yellow plate — with Dutch traffic rules built in.
Plan your scooter routeScooter route vs a generic route
Whether you search scooter route or route planner — you want the same thing: A to B without a fine. Snorfiets may use different roads than bromfiets. In Amsterdam blue plate often means carriageway instead of cycle path.
Standard planners do not know those rules. Scootmaps builds a separate scooter route per plate on the correct network.
Plan a route in 30 seconds
Open scootmaps.nl/map on your phone, choose snorfiets or bromfiets, enter start and destination, and tap route. You see distance, travel time, and where you ride on path versus road.
No account needed. Add the site to your home screen and you always have a scooter route planner at hand.
Where a legal scooter route differs
Amsterdam Noord → Centrum: Scootmaps includes IJ ferries when they save time. Bromfiets on provincial roads: parallel G12a where faster. Snorfiets outside cities: cycle path unless rijbaan zone.
Compare your commute with Google Maps. The illegal segment often only shows when you deliberately plan a scooter route for your plate.
